The movie is a biographical comedy about Ken Carter, the stuntman known as "The Mad Canadian." It is based on the 1981 documentary The Devil at Your Heels and follows Carter's attempt to jump across the St. Lawrence River using a rocket car and a 90-foot ramp.
As the story goes, Carter was replaced at the last minute by American stuntman Kenny Powers, and the jump was unsuccessful, leaving Powers with serious injuries.
Dowse produced the film with Jennifer Wilson, Macdara Kelleher, and Eoin Egan. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2026, according to comingsoon.net.
