Netflix has confirmed that The Watcher Season 2 is in pre-production. Filming is scheduled to begin in New York on October 27, 2026, and run through March 9, 2027.
The second season will shift its focus to a college setting revolving around a fraternity, moving away from the suburban home at the center of the first season.
The Watcher originally premiered on Netflix in October 2022 as a seven-episode miniseries. In November 2022, the streamer renewed the show for a second season.
The series is loosely based on a 2018 article from The Cut about The Watcher of Westfield, New Jersey. From 2014 to 2017, Derek and Maria Broaddus were tormented by harassing letters signed "The Watcher" after buying a home at 657 Boulevard in Westfield.
Collider reported the pre-production confirmation and filming schedule.
