Titus Welliver Returns as Harry Bosch in New Story Revisiting Early Case

The new Bosch story sends the detective back to his childhood at MacLaren Children's Center and to a case involving a boy named Chops.

Titus Welliver is returning to the role of Harry Bosch in a new Bosch story that arrives in one week, according to Collider. The story takes the detective back to the beginning of his story and to a case from his past.

As a child, Bosch was housed at MacLaren Children's Center after his mother's murder. A class action lawsuit produced a multibillion-dollar settlement for former residents of the facility.

In the new story, Mickey Haller, Bosch's half-brother, informs him that he is entitled to $400,000 from the settlement. Bosch declines the money and instead wants justice for a boy named Chops.

Chops was found dead in a hidden space under a staircase known as the hollow, and his death was covered up.

Three decades of Bosch

More than 30 years ago, Michael Connelly introduced Harry Bosch in The Black Echo. On television, the Bosch character was pushed into retirement.
