2018 Tomb Raider Film Enters Netflix Top 10
Alicia Vikander's Lara Croft adventure, directed by Roar Uthaug, is charting on Netflix, according to FlixPatrol data cited by Collider.
The 2018 film Tomb Raider has entered Netflix's Top 10 movies list, according to FlixPatrol data reported by Collider. The film stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft and was directed by Roar Uthaug.
The movie draws its inspiration from the 2013 Tomb Raider game reboot, which reworked the character's origins for a new generation of players. Vikander's take on Lara Croft anchors that approach on screen.
Angelina Jolie previously played Lara Croft in the first Tomb Raider movie, before Vikander took over the role in the 2018 release.
The Top 10 placement comes as the film continues to circulate on the streaming service years after its theatrical debut. Separately, Street Fighter took the number one spot at the box office last week, in an unrelated theatrical result.
