Transformers One Hits Netflix, Lands at No. 6 in U.S. Top 10
The animated prequel is now streaming on both Netflix and Paramount Plus, according to FlixPatrol data reported by polygon.com.
Transformers One has been added to Netflix and reached No. 6 among the most-watched movies on the U.S. Netflix chart this week, according to streaming data from FlixPatrol cited by polygon.com. In the U.S. top 10, the film charted between Twilight and Ice Age.
The animated prequel is now available on both Netflix and Paramount Plus, following a multiyear run on Paramount Plus.
Transformers One was released by Paramount in 2024 and grossed just $129 million worldwide, a result that made it a box office bomb. It arrived as the franchise's live-action series was struggling to recapture its earlier peaks: in 2017, Michael Bay directed his final live-action Transformers film, Transformers: The Last Knight, and in 2023 Transformers: Rise of the Beasts failed to turn the brand around as Paramount had hoped.
Paramount is now moving in a different direction. The studio has enlisted Steven Spielberg to focus on all creative aspects of the next live-action Transformers film, and it is bringing back Michael Bay to help revive the franchise.
