Turner Classic Movies will be housed within Skydance Motion Picture Group, the division led by Co-Chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein, following Skydance's combination of Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount. The outlet Deadline reported the placement.
TCM was previously run by Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group bosses Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy. De Luca and Abdy left ahead of the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery deal.
Channing Dungey now oversees all of the company's 50-plus cable networks, including Paramount networks such as MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Nickelodeon.
Ray Hopkins was named President, Distribution, and will handle negotiations with pay-TV operators for the 50-plus cable networks at Skydance as well as CBS.
Background
Three years ago, following the last merger involving Warner Bros., Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese and Paul Thomas Anderson called an emergency meeting with David Zaslav about restructuring Turner Classic Movies. At the time of the original move, De Luca and Abdy reported into then-U.S. Networks Chief Kathleen Finch on the channel. Some elements of the operational side of the TCM business remained under Channing Dungey's portfolio when she took over Finch's network responsibilities in 2025. Earlier this week, Goldberg and Greenstein said they see themselves as "stewards of two of the most storied studios in Hollywood history." Dungey reports to George Cheeks, Co-Chair and Chief Content Officer, Skydance TV, and JB Perrette, Co-Chair & Chief Business Officer, Skydance TV and Skydance DTC.
