Verity Gets Blu-ray and 4K Release With Alternate Endings

Amazon MGM Studios and Alliances Entertainment will issue the two-disc combo pack on December 15, with deleted scenes and a director's commentary.

Amazon MGM Studios, working with Alliances Entertainment, is preparing a Blu-ray and 4K release of Verity, the Anne Hathaway-led thriller, for December 15. The announcement was reported by Collider.

The two-disc combo pack reportedly includes two alternate endings and previously unseen deleted scenes, along with an audio commentary by director Michael Showalter. Hathaway plays the title role.

Nick Antosca wrote the screenplay. Verity adapts Colleen Hoover's novel of the same name; four Hoover adaptations have been made so far.

The film drew poor reviews and had a relatively short theatrical run, but it grossed more than four times its production budget and later received an early digital release after losing screens. It holds a 72% Popcornmeter audience score. Its ending has been the most debated element among viewers, a point the alternate endings on the disc may speak to.
