VisionQuest Ties Paladin to Daredevil's Past in Hell's Kitchen

Episodes 3 and 4 of VisionQuest revealed that Todd Stashwick's mercenary Paladin has fought Daredevil before, linking the villain to Daredevil: Born Again.

Marvel's VisionQuest used its third and fourth episodes, released on the same day, to reveal that Todd Stashwick's Paladin has fought Daredevil in the past, according to screenrant.com. The connection places the new villain inside the same corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Daredevil: Born Again.

The show signalled the history through a reference to a billy club concussion and to Hell's Kitchen, the New York neighbourhood long associated with Charlie Cox's Daredevil. Paladin is now positioned in VisionQuest as a mercenary hunting Vision, played by Paul Bettany, and endangering Tommy Maximoff.

The episodes also established where Paladin's hardware comes from: he uses Adamantium bullets and armor obtained from the Ten Rings organization, the group last seen in a major way in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Daredevil: Born Again has aired two seasons on Disney+ so far, and a third has been confirmed as the final season, expected on Disney+ in March 2027. VisionQuest serves as the finale of the WandaVision trilogy.
