Wandance live-action film unveils off-shot photos of JO and RAN
The first behind-the-scenes images from the dance film show JO and RAN arm in arm, ahead of its November 27 opening.
Off-shot photos from the live-action film Wandance were released, including one showing JO and RAN standing with their arms around each other's shoulders, according to cinemacafe.net.
JO, a member of &TEAM, plays the protagonist Kabo in what is his first starring role in a film. RAN, of MAZZEL, plays the senior character Itsuka Iori, who recognises Kabo's talent and advises him to enter a dance battle.
The released images also show other cast members on set, among them Ikebata Anji as Wanda Mitsuri, Yamaguchi Kira (Girls2) as Miyao On and Takamatsu Aloha (Choshizu) as Usen. Further photos capture TSUKKI, who plays rival team leader Kabe Yagura, at his crank-up, along with dancers on set.
Dance training began several months before filming. Overall supervisor Charisma Kantaro assigned a dedicated supervising dancer to each character, with Miura Runa coaching JO.
Manga adaptation in cinemas
The film adapts Kohi's manga of the same name. In October 2025 the original work was also adapted into a TV anime. Wandance opens in theatres on Friday, November 27.
