WIA Names Jinko Gotoh President as Marge Dean Steps Down
Oscar-nominated producer Jinko Gotoh succeeds Marge Dean, who ends a 13-year run as WIA President and becomes President Emerita.
WIA has named Oscar-nominated producer Jinko Gotoh as its new President, succeeding Marge Dean, who concludes a 13-year run in the role this month.
Julie Ann Crommett will take on the role of WIA Vice President, while Tracy Campbell becomes WIA Secretary and Sharon Taylor becomes Treasurer. Dean will take the honorary title of President Emerita and remain an advisor to WIA.
Dean will formally confirm her decision to step down from WIA's board at a special presentation at the L.A. festival Animation Is Film. Deadline reported the leadership changes.
Gotoh previously served alongside Dean as WIA's Vice President for over a decade. Her credits include Klaus, The Lego Movie 2, The Little Prince, The Illusionist and 9, and she is currently producing Sony Pictures Animation's Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
