Widow's Bay Season 2 Targets 2028 Apple TV Release, Filming April 2027
Matthew Rhys says Widow's Bay season 2 will begin filming at the end of April 2027 and is expected on Apple TV in 2028.
Matthew Rhys said that season 2 of Widow's Bay is expected to be released on Apple TV in 2028, with filming scheduled to begin at the end of April 2027. Rhys's comments were reported by Screen Rant.
According to Rhys, the writers of the series have only recently returned to work on the second season. No premiere date or further casting details were given.
The timeline places the new season well after the show's debut. The first two episodes of Widow's Bay season 1 were released on Apple TV on April 29, 2026, and season 1 had begun filming in May 2025.
Widow's Bay has won six Emmys. In September, Kate O'Flynn said season 2 might start filming in March.
