Because of You Ka Kui, a documentary about the late Beyond frontman Wong Ka Kui, will open the sixth Odyssey Film Festival in the U.K., according to Variety. The festival runs Sept. 28–Oct. 10 and carries the 2025 theme #Fashion.
U.K.-China Film Collab has acquired the film for local distribution. Directed by Hong Kong filmmaker Rosa Pang, the documentary is produced by Yip Sai Wing and Leslie Chan.
The film features interviews, rare concert recordings, and previously unreleased archive material. Among its segments is an interview with Beyond founding member William Tang, shot in London.
Wong Ka Kui died in an accident in Japan in 1993 at age 31. The documentary had an earlier theatrical run in Asia, and Malaysian company Abnormal Studios launched it internationally at FilMart in March.
