Marvel Television confirmed at New York Comic-Con that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on January 13, 2027.
The announcement came with a new poster for the season, which shows Spider-Man in the black symbiote suit. Josh Keaton will voice Eddie Brock, and the season will introduce Gwen Stacy, aka Ghost Spider, while Charlie Cox returns as Daredevil.
The second season was originally set for a winter 2026 release but was delayed. Brad Winderbaum said at the time it was pushed back "to give it a good place to live and breathe." The first season debuted on Disney+ on January 29, 2025, and earned a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
It was originally pitched as a prequel set before Captain America: Civil War but became a What If...? style alternate-universe story. Season 1 featured Spider-Man facing a symbiote creature and teased the formation of the World Engineering Brigade (WEB), Nico Minoru developing magical powers, and the revelation that Richard Parker is alive and in prison.
Season 2 will kick off Marvel Studios' 2027 slate, according to movieweb.com. Marvel Studios has no new films until Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
