Zendaya will star in an untitled science fiction film written and directed by Alex Garland for A24, according to Variety. Plot details for the project are being kept under wraps.

Zendaya and A24 have worked together before: the studio backed her series 'Euphoria,' which concluded after three seasons, and 'The Drama' with Robert Pattinson, which earned almost $135 million worldwide.
A24 also produced and distributed Garland's 2024 science fiction film 'Ex Machina,' as well as 'Civil War,' 'Men' and 'Warfare.' The studio is behind Garland's 'Elden Ring' video game adaptation, which wrapped shooting on July 30 and is set for release in March 2028.
Zendaya appeared in two of 2026's biggest movies, 'The Odyssey' and 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day.' Garland wrote '28 Days Later' and reunited with Danny Boyle for '28 Years Later' and its sequel '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.' At the London Film Festival, Boyle said Garland had written a 'fantastic script' for a third '28 Years Later' but was busy with 'Elden Ring,' so it is on the back burner.
