29CM, Seoul Design Foundation open DDP design fair with about 100 Korean brands
The 2026 DDP Design Fair with 29CM opened at Dongdaemun Design Plaza on October 14, with all participating brands Korean and over 75% taking part for the first time.
29CM and the Seoul Design Foundation opened the '2026 DDP디자인페어 with 29CM' at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul on October 14, according to byline.network. About 100 Korean living brands are taking part.
The venue is divided into four zones: rest, dining, organizing and companionship. 29CM selected 79 of its partner brands, and the Seoul Design Foundation selected 20 emerging designer brands. All participating brands this year are Korean.
Over 70% of participating brands have no physical store of their own, and over 75% are taking part for the first time. Seventeen brands including Gori Studio, Lombus Lab, Mujagi, Towelogist and Hotel Paris Chil released new products to coincide with the opening.

Earlier living-category growth
In January 2024, 29CM renamed its home category and began expanding its living business. According to 29CM, home category transaction value grew more than 70% per year on average from 2022 to 2025, and the number of brands in the category was up 25% from 2024 as of the end of September this year. During the five days of last year's fair, transaction value in the category rose 40% compared with the same period the previous week.
