70mai Launches 4K A900 Ultra Dashcam With Dual 4K Cameras
The 70mai 4K A900 Ultra pairs Sony STARVIS 2 sensors with 4G Cloud+ 2.0 connectivity and a plug-and-play Battery Pack Mini that needs no hardwiring.
70mai has launched the 4K A900 Ultra, a dashcam that records in True 4K HDR at 30 frames per second from both its front and rear cameras. Both units use Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors, according to howtogeek.com.
The camera pairs its imaging hardware with 4G Cloud+ 2.0 connectivity and image-processing technologies the company calls MaiColor Vivid+ Solution 2.0, Night Owl Vision 2.0 and Lumi Vision. 70mai lists a 20-millisecond end-to-end response time for transmission of rear camera footage.
Installation is handled by an ultra-slim LVDS cable and a plug-and-play Battery Pack Mini, a setup 70mai says removes the need for hardwiring. The A900 Ultra also offers buffered emergency recording that captures footage from before and after an incident, plus a parking surveillance mode.
Staged accidents drive dashcam demand
Dashcams are often bought for insurance disputes. The National Insurance Crime Bureau has said staged accidents are on the rise and have become a $20 billion annual problem in the US.
