AMD Shares Gorgon Halo Benchmarks, Claims 500,000 Agentic PCs Shipped
AMD compared its Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 against Intel's Core Ultra X9 388H in ComfyUI, claiming gains of 1.1x to 32.2x, ahead of Microsoft's October 7 event.
AMD has published benchmark results for its new Gorgon Halo chips and said it has shipped more than half a million agentic PCs to date, according to Tom's Hardware. The disclosure comes ahead of Microsoft's October 7 event.
The company compared the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 with Intel's Core Ultra X9 388H using ComfyUI. AMD's claimed generative AI performance advantage ranges from 1.1x to 32.2x, though the chipmaker noted the highest figure is an outlier.
The Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 with Gorgon Halo supports up to 192GB of unified memory. AMD says the chip reaches up to 20 tokens per second on GLM 5.3 Flash and up to 42 tokens per second on Qwen 3.8 Flash Next.
Competitive context
Nvidia teased RTX Spark devices at the end of last week, with an announced fall release. RTX Spark devices top out at 128GB of unified memory, the same as the GB10 in the DGX Spark.
The first Gorgon Halo devices launched a matter of days before this report, some costing upwards of $7,099. Gorgon Halo is largely a refresh of the prior Strix Halo range.
