Anbernic has shown off a dual-screen clamshell handheld called the RG DDS in a video teaser, according to gamesradar.com. The device copies the look of the New Nintendo 3DS but does not offer 3D support.
The RG DDS carries a 4.7-inch 720 x 1200 top display and a 4-inch 960 x 720 bottom display, and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chipset. Anbernic says the hardware supports 3x 3DS display integer scaling.
Around the shell, the handheld has an integrated stylus on the left, a headphone jack on the right, a microSD flap and a USB-C port. It also has two full-sized recessed thumbsticks, emulation-specific buttons and a dedicated AI button.
Anbernic lists front-firing speakers, a 6,000mAh battery and a new z-axis linear vibration motor. The company has not revealed pricing for the RG DDS.
