Apple Pushes AT&T Carrier Bundle 72.0.3 to iOS 27.2 Beta Testers
The update targets iPhone 18 Pro Max users on the iOS 27.2 beta and moves them from carrier bundle 72.0.2 to 72.0.3.
Apple has begun rolling out a new AT&T carrier bundle update for iPhone 18 Pro Max users running the iOS 27.2 beta, according to 9to5mac.com. The release bumps those devices to carrier bundle version 72.0.3.
The change likely extends Apple's earlier AT&T carrier changes to iOS 27.2 beta testers, who had remained on the older 72.0.2 bundle.
Last Friday, Apple confirmed that a small number of iPhone 18 Pro Max users on AT&T had been experiencing an issue that could cause their devices to lose cellular service and become unable to make calls. The company said iOS 27.0.1, alongside a carrier settings update, was intended to prevent the problem from affecting additional devices.
Devices that had already lost service still require a hardware replacement, according to Apple. Reports of the problem first surfaced in late September, when some iPhone 18 Pro Max users on AT&T lost access to calls, texts and cellular data.
A modem difference
The issue has affected only the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which uses a Qualcomm modem in the United States. The iPhone 18 Pro, which uses Apple's C2 modem, has not been affected.
Apple's carrier settings update released last week brought AT&T users on iOS 27.0 to version 72.1.
