Apple pulls redesigned Health app from iOS 27.2 beta 4

Apple has removed the overhauled Health app from iOS 27.2 developer beta 4, restoring the prior version of the app, according to 9to5mac.com. The rollback affects the fourth developer beta of the iOS 27.2 cycle, which had previously shipped with the redesigned Health experience.

With the reversion, the longevity section that appeared in the new Health app has been replaced by the previous sharing section. The release notes for iOS 27.2 beta 4 state that Health data added during the beta testing period will be retained and remain viewable in the Settings app.

Apple said in the release notes that the Health app overhaul is still planned for this year. The company had announced the upgraded Health app in September 2026 and said at the time to expect it to launch later this year.

iOS 27.2 developer beta 1 was the first iPhone software update to include the new Health app. Apple later added it to iOS 27.2 public beta 1 and public beta 2. The new Health app introduced new data points such as health age and the ability to schedule lab work through Quest Diagnostics.

The report states that the Health app upgrade is not expected to arrive for everyone in October as previously planned, and predicts that iOS 27.3 beta will arrive in late October or early November with the Health app upgrade.
