Apple Rolls Out iPadOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2 and HomePod 27.2 Public Beta 2
The public betas match the developer beta 3 builds and add design tweaks in Apple Books and a redesigned Apple Music logo.
Apple released iPadOS 27.2 public beta 2 on October 6, 2026, with matching public beta updates now rolling out for tvOS 27.2 and HomePod 27.2, according to 9to5mac.com.
The public beta 2 builds are the same software versions as the developer beta 3 that shipped a day earlier, so testers on the public track are getting the same code developers already have.
Included in the betas are design updates in Apple Books and a redesigned Apple Music logo.
Hidden features point to next week
Code found in the betas reveals new features expected to be announced next week for Apple TV 4K and HomePod. Those features are hidden and not user-facing in the public beta.
Apple released the earlier 27.2 developer betas on October 5, 2026. The company is expected to launch new products next week and again later in October.
