Apple Confirms Siri AI Excludes Original HomePod mini
Apple told 9to5Mac that Siri AI will only run on HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later), after CNET corrected its report.
Apple confirmed to 9to5Mac that Siri AI will be available only on HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later). The original HomePod mini will not support the feature, according to the company's confirmation.
The clarification followed a report from CNET that claimed the S5-powered HomePod mini would gain Siri AI compatibility later this year alongside iOS 27.2 updates. CNET later corrected that report.
The correction narrows the supported device list for Siri AI to the newer HomePod mini 2 and the second-generation or later Apple TV 4K.
