Atlassian announced AMP, its agentic multiplayer protocol, at its Team Europe 26 event in Amsterdam. The protocol is powered by a new Atlassian MCP server, according to techradar.com.
The company showed examples of AMP in use on stage during the event. Atlassian says the protocol is designed to help people and agents collaborate both on and off the Atlassian platform.
Atlassian also introduced Loom Record for Agent, a way to create prompts for Loom by recording a video.
Context from the keynote
At the same event, Atlassian CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes said we are living through the most creative and dynamic eras in the history of technology. He said models are the engine but context is the fuel, and that a model that doesn't know why a decision was made in 2022 can't help in 2026. Cannon-Brookes described the Atlassian platform as a company's central nervous system providing context, collaboration and conference.
