Beats Confirms Pikachu-Themed Beats Pill Speaker With Pokémon
Beats teased the speaker with a shadowy silhouette and yellow lightning accents, but did not announce a release date.
Beats has confirmed a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker made in collaboration with Pokémon, according to Engadget. The company announced the product through a social media teaser rather than a full launch.
The teaser image shows a shadowy silhouette of a pill-shaped Bluetooth speaker accented with yellow lightning bolts. The accompanying post reads, "Time to catch something new."
Beats did not announce a release date for the speaker. Pricing and availability details were not disclosed in the teaser.
Earlier hints
Talk of a Pokémon tie-in circulated before the confirmation. In August, Pikachu visited the Apple campus, where the character met with Apple executives Tim Cook and John Ternus. A Facebook user later posted a photo of a Beats Pill package with a Pikachu theme sitting in a shopping cart.
The Beats Pill itself was brought back from the product graveyard in 2024 and sells for $150.
