Developer Brandon Thomas has announced three open-source applications designed to replicate Microsoft Office tools: GridCraft for spreadsheets, DeckCraft for presentations and WordCraft for documents, according to Tom's Hardware.
Thomas said the applications were created with Claude, the AI assistant.
The announcement follows Thomas's earlier release of ArtCraft, an open-source suite of creative tools intended to replace Adobe applications for free.
Criticism about AI-assisted, or "vibecoded," software followed ArtCraft's rise in popularity. Thomas responded on his X account, saying he knows how to code, according to Tom's Hardware.
