Citizen releases Gradation TSUNO quartz chronograph in RECORD LABEL line
The 29,700-yen watch comes in blue, green and red gradient dials, plus a monotone version, and is powered by the Cal.0510 quartz movement.
Citizen Watch has released the Gradation TSUNO, a retro-design chronograph with a gradient-color dial, as a new RECORD LABEL model in the Citizen Collection line, according to watch.impress.co.jp. The battery-powered quartz watch is priced at 29,700 yen.
The model is based on the TSUNO series of retro-design chronographs. Blue (AN3714-68L), green (AN3714-76W) and red (AN3714-84Z) gradient-color versions carry a gold-colored central chronograph seconds hand, and a monotone model (AN3714-50H) is also available.
Movement and specifications
The watch uses the quartz Cal.0510, rated at an average monthly accuracy of plus or minus 20 seconds. It offers a chronograph with 1/1-second measurement and a 12-hour counter, a date display and quick date correction. Battery life is about 2 years.
The case and band are stainless steel, the crystal is spherical crystal glass, and the watch is water-resistant to 5 bar. The case measures 38 mm in diameter and 11.7 mm in thickness, and the watch weighs 98 g.
The TSUNO series traces its roots to the Chronograph Challenge Timer released in 1973, which was nicknamed Tsunokuro for its push buttons on the 12 o'clock side of the case.
