CTILab's DTI.ai Detects Repeated Queries Before Data Exfiltration
CTILab says its AI threat detection solution DTI.ai can flag anomalous behavior in four of five stages of financial sector breaches, from service access to mass data exfiltration.
CTILab announced on the 7th that its AI-based threat detection solution, DTI.ai, can identify repeated customer information queries and abnormal service access in financial sector breaches, according to dailysecu.com.
The company divided the attack process of recent financial data leaks into five stages: entry into the inquiry service, collection of customer numbers, linked inquiries to other services, mass data exfiltration, and incident recognition and response.
CTILab stated that AI-based anomaly detection can be applied to four of those five stages, covering the period from initial service access to mass data exfiltration. The solution is intended to detect suspicious behavior at the repeated-query stage before personal data is taken out.
DTI.ai currently applies about 20 threat detection models across web, network, VPN and DNS domains, the company said.
CTILab added that the technology was applied to a military intelligent cyber threat analysis and response system, where it detected modified and evasive attacks that existing security systems missed.
Background
AI-based cyberattacks and personal data leak incidents targeting South Korea's financial sector have occurred repeatedly in recent times.
