Digital Heritage Festa Panel Urges Better Data for AI
At the Gongju National Museum, four company CEOs said trustworthy, well-structured official records decide how well AI answers questions about heritage.
The second session of the 2026 Digital Heritage Festa industry conference was held on October 18 at the auditorium of the Gongju National Museum, under the theme "From Technology to Content and Services," according to zdnet.co.kr.
Textway CEO Yoo Seung-min said digitizing heritage records and making AI understand them accurately are separate tasks. He proposed normalizing names and dates, structuring documents, linking sources and adapting the results at the service layer.
FlowDX CEO Lee Ae-jin pointed to differing AI answers to the same question about a photo of the Gongju Uidang gilded bronze bodhisattva statue, arguing that trusted official data determines the quality of the answers.
From museum spaces to smart TVs
IconFactory CEO Kim Gun-ho described converting the Hogukgwan at the Nonsan Baekje Military Museum into a children's AI experience space set in a future Nonsan of 2050, with an AI adventure on the first floor and conversational and generative AI experiences on the second.
LFactory CEO Lee Kyung-tae said innovation in production is complete and delivery now needs a revolution, citing the Artivia art platform's launch on LG smart TVs' Gallery Plus and content featuring a white porcelain jar with inlaid peony design.
A third session on content, art, place and region was scheduled, with speakers from Baekseok Culture University, the Cheongju City Policy Research Institute, Manjijak Entertainment and KAIST.
