Report: Fitbit Edge Fitness Tracker Leaked Ahead of Launch
A new report details the Fitbit Edge, a fitness tracker with GPS and 7-day battery life that Google is said to unveil later this month.
A new report has revealed the design and key features of an upcoming Fitbit device called the Fitbit Edge. According to GSM Arena, the report claims Google will unveil the fitness tracker later this month.
The Fitbit Edge is positioned between the Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch 5, and will succeed the Fitbit Charge. It is said to feature an oval touchscreen, GPS, and up to 7 days of battery life.
The device will offer limited app support for apps such as YouTube Music and Google Maps, and will show notifications despite offering less display functionality than the Pixel Watch. The report also says it will provide precise GPS tracking, automatic activity recognition, and elevation tracking.
Leaked images show a button on the right side and a sensor array on the rear. The Fitbit Edge appears to have a pinch system for swapping bands, and a promotional image reveals it will work with both Android and iOS.
The fitness tracker is said to be available in five color options, three of which match the Google Pixel 11 Pro series. It is reportedly expected to cost between $149 and $199.
In August, Google Australia accidentally revealed an upcoming Fitbit device in official promo images during the Pixel 11 series launch.
