FIX 2026 in Daegu draws editors from 10 overseas tech outlets

Editors at the Daegu trade show each named three companies for the Global Media Awards, from quadruped patrol robots to electric aircraft.

FIX 2026, the Future Innovation Technology Expo, ran from October 21 to 24, 2026 at EXCO in Daegu under the theme "AI, Beyond Tech Into Reality," drawing 588 companies from Korea and abroad across autonomous mobility, physical AI robotics and smart manufacturing. As part of the program, editors and reporters from 10 overseas tech media outlets each selected three companies they found impressive for the FIX 2026 Global Media Awards, according to it.donga.com.

Ubergizmo editor Eliane Fiolet chose Doosan Robotics, DOGU and REZBIN. Doosan Robotics demonstrated a Scan-and-Go technology that lets robots work without preloaded CAD data, using an AGV with 6DoF exploration. DOGU showed a quadruped patrol robot that combines wheels and legs and is already deployed with police, fire authorities and government facilities. REZBIN, a Philippines-based startup, presented an AI and financial-reward-based smart waste recycling robotics solution.

Clipset senior editor Juan Castromil selected Pyunghwa Holdings, Wavus and TOFF Mobility, which unveiled an electric aircraft. Otaku Soken chairman Tomomi Yoshioka chose Mirae Robot, HD Hyundai Robotics and U&S Networks. HD Hyundai Robotics showed an intelligent dual-arm robot and a high-payload collaborative robot for material transport, with welding solutions that work without CAD data, while U&S Networks presented an AI-based integrated control platform that monitors and controls robots and drones from different manufacturers on one screen.

Vietnam Plus editor Vo Hoang Long picked Farmity, IM Robotics and Jinmyung I&C. Le Cafe du Geek editor Leo Thevenet chose Beyless, Brain Life and Tesollo, praising Tesollo's robot grippers and automation hardware. Chinabyte editor Stephanie Chen selected YH Database, NRT Sensors and Orgo, which she listed first among the three.

Daegu, which markets itself as a startup city, hosted the event. Fiolet, who also visited Daegu in 2025, said Korean deep tech and AI robotics had impressed her, and Thevenet has attended the show for three consecutive editions since FIX launched.
