Fragile Replaces Bricked NZXT Flex Rental PC Bought on OfferUp

Fragile gave a Reddit user a new PC after the used NZXT Flex rental he bought for $650 was remotely blocked.

Fragile has replaced a bricked NZXT Flex rental PC with a new one after a Reddit user unknowingly bought the stolen machine on OfferUp for $650, according to Tom's Hardware. The original PC was remotely blocked by Fragile after the buyer installed a Windows update.

Fragile confirmed the PC was a rental and that the seller had no right to sell it. The company provided the buyer with a new PC free of charge and required the stolen PC to be turned in to police.

Fragile said it typically works with the buyer and local law enforcement to pursue the seller.

NZXT's PC rental program started in 2024. The program faced a RICO lawsuit in California, which ended with a $3.45 million settlement paid earlier this year to affected customers.
