Google May Expand Gemini's Call for Me to Personal Calls
Screenshots in app updates show "Mom" and "John" examples, suggesting Call for Me could soon handle calls to friends and family.
Early evidence found in app updates suggests Google may expand Gemini's Call for Me feature beyond businesses to support personal calls to friends and family, according to Android Authority. Screenshots show "Mom" and "John" examples on the feature's introductory screen.
Under the possible expansion, Gemini would be able to deliver messages and make basic inquiries on personal calls. Gemini also appears to offer recipients the ability to opt out of receiving these calls.
Separately, the same updates surfaced new granular permissions for app actions in a write/delete section, though those controls were not functioning properly during testing.
