Google adds Gemini Notebook as Connected App in Gemini
The integration lets users create notebooks and pull data from them in chats, and is on by default everywhere except the European Economic Area.
Google has made Gemini Notebook available as a Connected App inside the Gemini app, the company said on October 23, 2026. The integration lets users manage and query their notebooks directly within chats using natural language, according to 9to5google.com.
The @Gemini Notebook Connected App lets users retrieve data from existing notebooks, create new notebooks, add sources and save notes without leaving a conversation. The Gemini app automatically detects when the integration should be used.
The feature is enabled by default for users worldwide, with one exception: in the European Economic Area it is turned off by default.
Access covers all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers and users with personal Google accounts.
Previously in the side panel
Before the Connected App integration, Gemini Notebooks were available in the Gemini app through its side panel.
