Google Meet adds one-click automation for post-meeting tasks

A new section on the post-meeting screen lets eligible Workspace users draft follow-up emails or export action items to Google ToDo list.

Google announced on October 12 new automation features for Google Meet that turn post-meeting follow-up work and action items into one-click automated tasks, according to forest.watch.impress.co.jp.

A dedicated section now appears on the post-meeting screen, where users can enable automations in a single click. Two automations launch first: drafting follow-up emails and exporting action items to Google ToDo list. Google says more automation types are planned.

The feature relies on automatic note-taking, which must be enabled during the meeting before the automations can be used. It also supports recurring meetings, and automations can be applied to all of a user's meetings.

Availability

Rollout began on October 5, 2026 for rapid and scheduled release domains, and Google warns it may take more than 15 days for the feature to reach all users. It is available to Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus and Google AI Pro for Education users.
