Google Phone beta hints at compact photo option for Calling Cards
A teardown of Google Phone beta reveals an in-development Compact photo option with four color presets, but the feature is not yet functional.
A teardown of the Google Phone beta version 244.0.1001930441-publicbeta-pixel2026 has revealed a partially enabled Compact photo option for Calling Cards, according to androidauthority.com. The feature is not yet functional.
The Calling Card customization screen could soon show two sections: Full photo and Compact photo. The Compact photo menu currently displays four colored tiles with no buttons for adding images, and tapping the tiles does nothing.
Code strings name the four presets Coral, Olive, Teal, and Violet. The Compact photo feature is not yet active.
Previously, Calling Cards displayed full-screen images for assigned contacts when they called, similar to Apple's Contact Posters.
