Google Photos adds one-tap video editing to share flow
A new button in the bottom right of the video preview lets Google Photos users edit clips before sharing; edits use the user's storage.
Google Photos has rolled out a quick edit button for videos, letting users edit a clip with a single tap while sharing it, according to Android Authority.
The button appears in the bottom right corner of the preview when a video is being shared. Tapping it opens editing tools without leaving the share flow.
Edited videos are saved to the user's storage, the same place other Google Photos edits are kept.
Google previously introduced a similar quick edit option for images, which allowed editing and enhancing a photo with one tap.
What else is changing in Google Photos
Other changes have been reported for the app but not yet released. Evidence suggested Google Photos could soon allow users to filter images by people and pets in an album, and the app could also introduce new speed options for animations created in the app.
