Huawei has opened pre-orders in China ahead of the October 28 launch, and a retail unit lists 12GB of RAM, HarmonyOS 7 and the Kirin 9025 chipset.

Huawei has confirmed the Pura 90 Plus and opened pre-orders for the phone in China ahead of its launch on October 28, according to gsmarena.com. Pricing has not been announced and is expected at the launch event.

A retail display unit photographed in China lists the Kirin 9025 chipset, 12GB of RAM, a 2848x1276 screen resolution, HarmonyOS 7 and the model number LCI-AL00 on its About screen. The Pura 90 Plus is the first phone to use the Kirin 9025.

Live images of the device show curved sides and a triangular camera island finished in Sunset Purple. Huawei has also confirmed 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage, and four color options: Dawn Gold, Obsidian Black, Sunset Purple and Snowy White.

Previous generation for comparison

The Pura 80 Pro runs on the Kirin 9020 and pairs a 6.8-inch 1276x2848 display with a 1-inch type 50MP main camera with a variable aperture. An earlier leak claimed the Pura 90 Plus would carry a 50MP 1-inch type RYYB main camera with a variable aperture, a specification Huawei has not confirmed.
