Inspien Launches SAP-Specific Vulnerability Scanner BizInsider xScan

Inspien's new ABAP-native tool runs entirely on-premises inside SAP systems, covering 8 security areas and 77 inspection items with a 92-day trial license.

Inspien announced the launch of BizInsider xScan, a vulnerability assessment and security diagnostic solution specialized for SAP environments, according to dailysecu.com.

BizInsider xScan is an ABAP-native on-premises solution installed directly inside SAP systems. According to the company, it requires no external network connection, allowing operation in closed-network environments such as public and financial institutions.

The inspection scope covers 8 areas and 77 items, including accounts and authentication, roles and segregation of duties (SoD), interfaces, custom code static analysis and security patches. It detects potential threats such as SQL injection, hardcoded credentials and missing authorization in self-developed ABAP programs.

Inspien is providing a 92-day trial license so customers can evaluate the solution in a real environment before deciding on full adoption.

SAP is an ERP system handling core operations such as HR, finance and procurement for companies and public institutions, but general server checks have difficulty identifying weaknesses in internal authorization structures or self-developed programs.
