Intellivix to install AI video analysis at 15 hydrogen stations
The project with the Korea Petroleum Quality & Distribution Authority runs through December and feeds real-time wait data to the Hying system.
Intellivix said on November 6, 2026, that it has won a project from the Korea Petroleum Quality & Distribution Authority to install AI video analysis equipment at hydrogen charging stations. The project covers 15 stations nationwide and will run until December.
The system analyzes camera footage to detect vehicle position, direction of movement and vehicle type, and compiles real-time charging wait information from that data.
Collected data is passed through each station's sales information management system to the authority's hydrogen distribution information system, Hying, and to its digital customer satisfaction system.
Intellivix said the AI automatically masks faces and license plates in real time to prevent privacy infringement.
Replacing manual counts
Until now, station staff counted vehicles by eye and entered the numbers manually into the POS system, so real-time information was sometimes late or missing, making it hard for users to estimate waiting times.
