Report: Next iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro refresh set for first half of 2027
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says the entry-level iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro are the models still awaiting updates, with refreshes due in the first half of 2027.
Apple's next round of iPad updates is expected in the first half of 2027, covering the entry-level iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman. Gurman reported the timing in his "Power On" newsletter.
Those three models are the ones still awaiting refreshes, per the report. The newsletter did not specify launch dates or hardware details for any of the devices.
Apple's most recent iPad update came in October 2026, when the company revised the iPad mini with an OLED display — the last iPad update of that year.
What the report covers
The claim is limited to timing: a first-half 2027 window for the three tablets. As with any unconfirmed roadmap report, the schedule could change before Apple announces products.
