Focus Mode Toggle Spotted on iPhone Duo Lock Screen
The toggle sits above the camera and flashlight icons, letting users switch a Focus mode off and back on directly from the lock screen.
A Focus mode toggle has been spotted above the camera and flashlight icons on the iPhone Duo lock screen, according to 9to5mac.com. The control lets users turn a focus mode off and back on without leaving the lock screen.
The placement puts the Focus control alongside the two standard lock-screen shortcuts, rather than in a separate settings panel. The same outer display also carries the iPhone Duo dock, which sits on the right-hand side instead of along the bottom of the screen.
The outer display defocuses and becomes effectively transparent as the iPhone Duo is opened, so the lock screen gives way to the inner screen rather than staying sharp behind it.
How the toggle behaves
Switching a focus mode off from the lock screen and switching it back on are handled by the same toggle, without opening the Focus section of Settings. The feature appeared in the iPhone Duo simulator.
In October 2025, developer pdfu had been finding a number of new features and showing them off in the iPhone Duo simulator, the same environment where the Focus toggle was observed.
