Apple's foldable iPhone Duo opened for pre-orders in the US and some other countries on October 16, and shipping estimates on the company's online stores quickly moved to January of next year. According to ZDNet Korea, the shift happened within minutes of pre-orders going live.
As of 5:30 AM Pacific Time, the US Apple online store listed January 25 of next year as the shipping date for all iPhone Duo models. In Korea, the Apple online store showed a shipping date of January 22 of next year as of 12:20 AM KST on October 17.
Some customers who placed orders immediately after pre-orders opened can still receive the device on October 23, the listed release date.
Max Tech host Vadim Yuryev said iPhone Duo units were being resold on eBay for up to $5,000 after shipping dates slipped.
Supply concerns preceded launch
