iQOO 16 debuts in China with a 6.85-inch 165Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, triple 50MP cameras, and an 8,400 mAh battery.
iQOO has officially launched the iQOO 16 in China, its latest flagship smartphone. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
The iQOO 16 features a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 AMOLED display with a 1440x3168 resolution, a 19.8:9 aspect ratio, and a 165Hz refresh rate. It reaches up to 10,000 nits of localized peak brightness and 2,800 nits of full-screen peak brightness.
On the back, there is a triple 50MP camera system: a main sensor with OIS, an ultrawide with autofocus, and a periscope telephoto with OIS that offers 3x optical and 6x lossless zoom, plus up to 100x digital zoom. The front camera is a 32MP fixed-focus unit.
The phone packs an 8,400 mAh battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It runs Android 17 with vivo's OriginOS 7 and is IP68 and IP69 rated, with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
The iQOO 16 comes in three colorways and measures 8.3-8.55mm thick, weighing 222.5-229.8g. Pricing starts at CNY 5,999 (about $894) for 12/256GB, CNY 6,799 ($1,013) for 12/512GB, CNY 7,499 ($1,117) for 16/512GB, and CNY 8,499 ($1,266) for 16GB/1TB.
