iQOO Z12 Turbo leak tips 6.59-inch 165Hz screen and new Snapdragon chip
Digital Chat Station claims the Z12 Turbo will use an unannounced Snapdragon chipset and may launch outside China as the iQOO 16R.
A Weibo tipster has outlined alleged specifications for the iQOO Z12 Turbo, including a 6.59-inch screen with an ultra-high refresh rate and an unannounced Snapdragon chipset. The claim was posted by Digital Chat Station and reported by gsmarena.com.
According to the leak, the display's refresh rate could rise to at least 165Hz, up from 144Hz on the current iQOO 15R. The chipset inside the Z12 Turbo may be called either Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro, the tipster says.
The same source suggests the device could be rebranded as the iQOO 16R for markets outside China. The iQOO Z11 Turbo was previously sold internationally under the iQOO 15R name, which has a 6.59-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.
iQOO is also said to be evaluating whether to include an active cooling fan in the Z12 Turbo or 16R. None of these details has been confirmed by the company.
