Kakao Revamps KakaoTalk Now Feedback Page, Adds Message Formatting
The regular KakaoTalk update, available in v26.9.0 and later, adds bold, italic and list formatting plus an open chat badge setting.
Kakao has revamped the "KakaoTalk Now" page it opened in August to gather user feedback on KakaoTalk, and released a regular app update with new messaging and notification features, according to techm.kr.
The revamped page adds an input field at the bottom where users can submit opinions about KakaoTalk, and introduces cases of service improvements made from user feedback.
The update adds message formatting, including bold, italic, strikethrough and lists, selectable from the input window. A badge setting for open chat rooms was also added, letting users stop new-message badge counts from increasing on the app icon and bottom tab.
Kakao also introduced a mini emoticon combination tab, where users can view combinations of mini emoticons and send them directly to a chat room. The supported range for registering sub-devices was expanded to include mobile phones.
The new features are available in KakaoTalk v26.9.0 and later.
