KDDI to Raise au Hikari Fees by 330 Yen in January 2027

KDDI will lift monthly fees on most au Hikari fiber plans from January 1, 2027, while adding a discount for customers who also buy au Denki electricity.

KDDI announced on October 16, 2026 that it will raise the monthly fees for its au Hikari internet connection service by a flat 330 yen, effective January 1, 2027, according to k-tai.watch.impress.co.jp. The new prices apply to existing subscribers from January 2027 usage, which is billed in February 2027.

Under the revision, the au Hikari Home 1 Giga plan rises from 5,720 yen to 6,050 yen on a two-year contract, and from 6,930 yen to 7,260 yen on the standard plan. Among apartment plans, the Mansion Type V 16-contract and Type G 16-contract both go from 4,180 yen to 4,510 yen.

Other apartment plans also move up by the same amount: Mansion Mini Giga from 5,500 yen to 5,830 yen, Mansion Giga from 4,455 yen to 4,785 yen, and Mansion Type E 16-contract from 3,740 yen to 4,070 yen.

Several services are excluded from the revision: au Hikari Plus, au Hikari Home (RF), au Hikari Mansion Ikkatsu-gata and au Hikari Mansion Type F (S).

New electricity bundle discount

From the same date, KDDI will offer the au Hikari Denki Set Wari discount to users who combine au Hikari with its au Denki electricity service. The discount takes 330 yen per month off the fee for the Wi-Fi Pack or Ouchi Dokodemo Wi-Fi option for up to 24 months, then 110 yen per month.

Conditions include using au Hikari and an eligible Wi-Fi option as of the 25th of each month, subscribing to au Denki (including all-electric and eco plans) and combining both bills. The discount is applied automatically.
