KT Launches AI-Dedicated Line Service With Up to 800Gbps

KT said the service lifts dedicated line bandwidth from about 100Gbps to 400Gbps and 800Gbps, using its 840,000 km optical cable network.

KT announced on October 14, 2026 that it has launched an "AI-dedicated line" service supporting bandwidth of up to 800Gbps, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

The service raises KT's dedicated line bandwidth from a previous maximum of about 100Gbps to up to 400Gbps and 800Gbps. It runs on the company's nationwide optical cable infrastructure, which spans 840,000 km.

KT said it applied APN (All Photonic Network), an optical-centric network technology, to cut latency by minimizing conversion between optical and electrical signals.

The company plans to design data transmission paths and equipment to match each customer's network environment.

KT intends to expand the service mainly to AI data center operators and companies building large-scale AI infrastructure. The head of KT's Enterprise Service Division, identified by the company as an executive in that role, commented on the launch.
