KT Cloud Begins Construction of 50MW Ansan AI Data Center
The hyperscale facility is designed for liquid cooling and high-performance GPUs, with completion targeted for 2029.
KT Cloud said on October 22 that it has started construction of its 50MW Ansan AI Data Center, a hyperscale facility dedicated to artificial intelligence workloads.
The building will have a total floor area of about 36,878 square meters across two basement levels and nine floors above ground. Its total power capacity is designed at 50MW.
All server rooms are designed to support liquid cooling, and the building uses a high-load structure in consideration of high-performance GPUs such as Nvidia's next-generation AI GPU Vera Rubin, according to techm.kr.
The data center also adopts a high-efficiency pre-cooling system that uses outside air temperatures in spring, autumn and winter through cooling coils on the outer wall linked to a closed cooling tower.
Completion is targeted for 2029. KT Cloud is pursuing a strategy to supply 1GW of AI data centers by 2031, and opened its Gasan AI Data Center last year.
