Last Mile to survey 100 startups to validate Knowthe.ai agent

The two-person team behind Knowthe.ai plans interviews and a survey with at least 100 startups before a beta test of its application-assistant tool.

Last Mile, the two-person team developing the AI agent Knowthe.ai, said it plans to interview and survey at least 100 startups to validate demand for the tool before a beta test, according to techm.kr.

Knowthe.ai is designed to help early-stage startups find and prepare applications for government support programs. It extracts technology, product, market and customer information from uploaded IR materials and business plans and structures it with an ontology and knowledge graph.

The team targets companies with fewer than five employees and aims to complete a full run — upload, program recommendation and draft provision — within five minutes. Last Mile has so far gathered initial feedback from about five startups.

Last Mile is made up of developer Kong Jun-woo and project manager Jeong Hwi-jin, who are university classmates. The team originally planned an AI financial assistant for young people preparing for independent living, and switched its target customer to early-stage startups before the integrated finals.

In October, Last Mile took part in a global program in San Francisco as a finance-category encouragement award winner in the FIN:NECT Challenge, run by the Korea Fintech Support Center and KakaoBank.
