LBS Tech Wins Best of Innovation at CES 2026
The Korean accessibility navigation company took the Travel & Tourism honor at CES 2026, adding to a 2025 CES Innovation Award.
LBS Tech has won the Best of Innovation award in the "Travel & Tourism" category at CES 2026, according to it.donga.com. The recognition places the Korean company's accessibility-focused navigation technology among the top honorees of the Las Vegas trade show.
The award is not the company's first. LBS Tech previously received a CES Innovation Award in 2025, and in 2023 it took the "Best Mobile Case for Accessibility & Inclusion" prize at the MWC GLOMO Awards.
Founded in 2017 by CEO Lee Si-wan, who previously worked at Matrix Shafts, LG Electronics and Hyundai Motor, LBS Tech has built its systems on data collected from more than 10,000 participants, including visually impaired, physically disabled and elderly individuals. In a Sejong City pilot that linked store information with the local currency "Yeominjeon" for ordering and payment, participating stores recorded sales increases of over 30%.
The company has run a living lab in Magok, Seoul with wheelchair users, demonstrated indoor and outdoor location confirmation in Songpa using 3D addresses, and applied an AR-based barrier-free tourism service in Seoul.
Partnerships and recognition beyond CES
LBS Tech is pursuing a universal solution project with Hyundai Motor Company and Seosan City, and is promoting cooperation with the Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged. It also signed an MOU with the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency. In 2024, Lee Si-wan received the Gold President's Volunteer Service Award.
